| Anyone actively fish for carp in ok? Seen alot of informtion on bait, but trying to sort it all out. Heard one recipe that sounds good involving wheat bread, molasses and strawberry jello. Where are good places? How about using a type of dip bait on a sponge?? |

| Tried out a recipe from bedlem in the carp hunter group involving corn meal, cherry jello, sugar, flour and water. Worked great, hit a 10lber first time out. Gonna try another that is walmart wheat bread (or other cheap mushy wheat bread), molasses, vanilla, strawberry jello powder and a small amount of water. Will let everyone know. |

I have for years always used wheaties crushed up with a bit of water from the lake you are gonna be fishing. with a little flower to thicken it up. less flower is better.
i have also seen people use cotton seed mill instead of wheaties.
and also some people use big red soda or something like that instead of water.
out of all i have had the most consitant results from the weaties and water bait.
some times it works on a float other times on the bottom with a slip sinker. |
